What Specific events have helped inspire you to participate in this mission trip?
Over the last several years, I’ve developed a passion for international mission. Pastor Steve’s accounts of his Haiti experiences and my own experience as a missionary in Ghana have inspired me to participate in this trip.
Why do you feel called to participate in this particular church activity? (spiritual formation)
I feel called to this trip because I have such a strong passion for Jesus that I can’t wait to share with Haiti. I know that God will work both in me and through me on this special journey. I’ve also been placed in a position at school to share with students my mission experiences and I pray that God will speak to their hearts and through me.
Describe what you hope to gain from this international mission experiences
I hope to gain leadership experience, language and further third-world understanding. As I wish to be a full-time international missionary, every mission experience is invaluable to me. Culturally, Haiti is different from most African cultures. I am eager to from relationships with the orphanage boys and people of Haiti. I hope to gain experience using technology to communicate with the United States.
